The "Great Aussie Firewall"

Associated Press reported recently that Australia would be banning certain websites from the view or its residents. This firewall is being challenged by many as the end of freedom of speech. But, t was put in place to make sure that people would not e looking at terrorists sites and other dangerous areas on the web. I think that Australia is getting some ideas from China. Now, I don’t think they’ll end up a socialist, dictatorship, communist nation, but I think they could definitely affect tourism, immigration, and other factors. Basically, the whole firewall idea is a dumb one. Of course I am an American, and like many people, forget the great advantages we have even in a failing economic state. But, I do think that democracy should be kept alive where it can be, and in Australia it can be.
